Bill Schneider, Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. Schneider received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from UMDNJ – Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in Piscataway, NJ in 2010. His doctoral studies, under the guidance of Dr. Monica Roth, focused on retroviral integration. In addition to studying structure and function of the Murine Leukemia Virus integrase protein, he worked extensively with a novel method of single protein production (SPP) in bacteria. Since joining the Center for the Study of Hepatitis C in November 2010, Dr. Schneider has focused on identifying novel interferon-stimulated transcripts and characterizing their interactions with HCV.
