Eleftherios Michailidis, Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Associate
Dr. Michailidis received his Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Missouri under the supervision of Dr. Stefan Sarafianos. His doctoral studies focused on the mechanisms of action and resistance to antiviral drugs against HIV-1 and HBV. Since joining the Center for the Study of Hepatitis C in January 2014, Dr. Michailidis has been studying combinations of direct-acting antivirals (DAAs) and host-targeting agents (HTA) against wild-type and drug-resistant hepatitis C viruses in relation to host genetics.
