Dr. Shi received his PhD degree from Cornell University Weill Medical College in New York City. During his doctoral studies with Dr. Eric Pamer, he investigated the mechanism of monocyte emigration from the bone marrow and recruitment to the sites of infection. Dr. Shi joined the Center for the Study of Hepatitis C in 2012. He is interested in understanding the innate immune response against HCV and development of novel animals models for HCV.
