Joseph Palarca, M.A.
Research Assistant

Mr. Palarca received his B.A.S. in Music and Biological Sciences from UC Davis in 2000 after which he worked with such companies as EOS Biotechnology and Applied Biosystems in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2001, he moved to New York in pursuit of his other focus, music, earning his M.A. in Vocal Performance from NYU in 2003. He also worked as Senior Reference Assistant at the New York Blood Center's Immunohematology laboratory. Since joining the Center for the Study of Hepatitis C in 2007, Mr. Palarca has been responsible for managing the computers and equipment. When not in the lab, he can often be found singing at Avery Fisher Hall with such ensembles as the New York Choral Artists, performing with the New York Philharmonic, and the Concert Chorale of New York, or performing with symphonies including the American Symphony Orchestra and LA Philharmonic.
