Meigang Gu, Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. Gu received his Ph.D. from the Weill Graduate School of Cornell University in New York City in 2006. During his doctoral studies, under the guidance of Dr. Christopher D. Lima, he investigated various mRNA capping and decapping enzymes using X-ray crystallography followed by biochemistry and genetics studies. Since joining the Center for the Study of Hepatitis C in January 2007, he has focused on understanding the replication of the hepatitis C virus and the mechanism of innate immune response against viral invasion. Dr. Gu is the recipient of a Marie-Josee and Henry Kravis Fellowship.
