Lab Members
Natalia Frias-Staheli, Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Associate
Dr. Frias-Staheli received her Ph.D. in 2008 from the Graduate School of Biological Sciences at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, in New York City. During her doctoral studies in the laboratory of Dr. Adolfo García-Sastre, she investigated different aspects of the molecular biology of Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever Virus (CCHFV) and its interactions with the host cell. Her work led to the identification and characterization of a novel protease activity present in the L protein of CCHFV. Since joining the Center for the Study of Hepatitis C in January 2010, Dr. Frias-Staheli has been studying host factors involved in the Dengue virus life cycle and is developing and optimizing mouse models for Dengue virus pathogenesis.
