Meike Chevillotte, Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Associate

Dr. Chevillotte received her PhD from Ulm University, Germany, in 2010, where she was a participant in the International Graduate School for Molecular Medicine Ulm. During her doctoral studies in the laboratory of Prof. Thomas Mertens she investigated antiviral resistance mechanisms of human cytomegalovirus (HCMV). In 2010, she joined the Robert Koch-Institut in Berlin, Germany, to establish a national diagnostic laboratory for Hepatitis B and C virus (HBV and HCV) and investigate the impact of HBV and HCV coinfections on intracellular signalling pathways. Since joining the Center for the Study of Hepatitis C in May 2011, her research has focused on interferon response and its implication on hepatitis C virus replication. She was recently awarded the Rocekfeller Women in Science Fellowship.
