Alina Baum, Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Associate
Dr. Baum obtained her doctoral degree at Mount Sinai School of Medicine under the mentorship of Dr. Adolfo Garcia-Sastre. Her dissertation work focused on understanding of how RNA viruses trigger innate immune responses inside infected cells. Since joining the Center for the Study of Hepatitis C in December of 2011 she has been further elucidating the mechanisms governing the interactions between RNA viruses and the host’s immune system.
